About Me

For the wild at heart and the beautifully adventurous

I’m Marizza, and I’m here to help you hold on to the love, connection, and chaos that make your story yours.

I’m not just here to take your photo.

I’m here to see you.

I photograph mummas to be, fams and lovers who feel most at home in nature and who want their story told just as it is: real, unposed, and rich with meaning.

A little about me

I’m Marizza, based in the mid-Blue Mountains, living on acreage with my husband Andrew and our furry friend Kaiser who keeps us on our toes in the best way.

What fills my cup? Hiking to wild places, swimming in waterholes, and simply being at home with the people I love. I’m equal parts homebody and explorer, always chasing a feeling more than a pose.

Your kiddos might still be asking, “Where’s Aunty Riz?” on the drive home and to me, that’s everything. I have a gentle, observant nature and a love for the quiet, in-between moments. The way your child reaches for your hand. That look between you and your partner when no one’s watching. The small things that mean the most.

What shapes my approach

Photography has always been about more than capturing an image. It’s about creating space for real connection and letting moments unfold naturally. Being outdoors lets people move freely and be themselves. Kids run, jump, twirl, and climb. Families wander, laugh, and share little spontaneous moments, a whispered joke, a hand squeeze, or a glance that only they notice. Open space, greenery, and water help everyone relax, letting the goofiness, joy, and love come out.

Nature also brings emotional and sensory depth that studios cannot replicate. Soft light warms every moment, while the wind, water, grass underfoot, and forest smells bring out authentic reactions. Trails, waterfalls, cliffs, and meadows turn each session into a story of adventure and discovery. By the end, I want you to feel connected to your own lives again. To see yourselves, your love, your laughter, and the little details that make your story yours. Years later, I want you to look at these images and feel nostalgic, the smells of the forest, the wind in your hair, the warmth of the sun, the chill of the water, the laughs, and the epic views. Moments that were simply real and completely yours.

What you’ll notice working with me

Meeting your wildlings where they’re at!

With over 15 years of experience working with children in aquatic, fitness, and education, I know how to gently build trust and meet little ones where they’re at. Whether your kids need space to explore or time to warm up, I’ll be there quietly supporting and playing alongside them, often ending the session holding hands or being invited on the ice cream run home. It’s this connection that helps create the images you’ll cherish.

We don’t just go where everyone else goes.

I’ll help you choose a location that feels right for your family. A quiet waterfall trail, a mountain lookout with room to roam, or even your own backyard. It’s about finding a space where your family can be themselves, without pressure or distractions.

Nothing forced. Just your story, unfolding naturally.

I don’t do stiff poses or fake smiles. I bring gentle guidance and prompts, but mostly I watch and capture the genuine moments that happen when you’re just being together, the laughter, the little touches, the wild and wonderful chaos.

The session experience

My sessions are slow, intentional, and designed to feel like you. Whether you're wandering through a waterfall trail with your little ones or soaking in the quiet joy of new motherhood, I’m there to gently guide and capture what’s already unfolding. I’ll be there to help when you need me, and step back when you don’t. You don’t need to perform or prepare a perfect version of your life, just show up as you are. I trust your story to unfold the way it’s meant to, mess, beauty, and all.

Let’s create something real

If this sounds like what you're after, if you’re ready to step into something a little wild, a little slow, and a lot heartfelt, I’d love to hear from you.
